Argentina wine has been a huge international success in European grape varities, such as Tempranillo, Sangiovese and Syrah. Working with wineries, we are able to present fine examples of these varieties within our website, such as the Sangiovese 2006/07 – Crisol, Mendoza.
However it is home grown varieties that have the country firmly on the wine map with some of the best Malbec wine in the world. We offer the Oak Aged Malbec 2007 – Finca Beltran, Mendoza - a deliciously deep, dark and voluptuous wine.
But what about the white grape variety? Torrontés is the most prominent Argentine grape. Such a beautiful example of this is the Polo Amateur Torrontés 2007 – La Chamiza, Mendoza. Awarded the Bronze medal at the International Wine Challenge, this wine has sweet floral notes, followed up on the palate by grapefruit and spice.
