Tempranillo Rosé - Viña Peña, Castilla, Spain

This is definitely a great example of how a rosé should be done; filled with strawberry flavours, and a beautiful creamy aftertaste. Lovely and dry with great acidity.

Vino de la Tierra is Spain’s equivalent to France’s Vin de Pays (country wines).

This selection of great house wines originates from the Northern area of Castilla Y Leon, Spain’s harsh, high plateau with long cold winters and hot summers (but always cool nights). The Duero river tempers this climate and affords fine conditions for viticulture. The three ranges are made from ‘noble’ grape varieties such as Chardonnay and Cabernet, as well as original Spanish varieties such as Viura (white) and Tempranillo (red).
