Shiraz/Viognier 2005 – Woodshed, South Eastern Australia

An unusual yet fashionable blend of red and white grape varieties producing a wonderfully fragrant red wine with rich raspberry fruit flavours and a hint of chocolate.

This dynamic and creative winery in the Riverina produces wines which promote the diversity of blending more unusual grape varieties to create wines of great character, individual styling with a rustic appeal. The key ingredient in both red and white wines is the Viognier grape variety which classically delivers a lovely peachy flavour and floral aromas.

Grapes are selected from 30-40 year old vines; as vines age, they start to produce smaller crops and average yields decrease, leading to more concentrated wines. The resultant complexity in the Woodshed range makes them perfect food wines.
