Shiraz/Cabernet 2008 – Emu Rise, NSW, Australia

This is a classic and extremely popular Australian blend combining the ripe fruit of Shiraz and the body and structure of Cabernet Sauvignon. With its youthful purple colour, this wine combines fresh, juicy plum fruit with a touch of pepper and spice.

The Estate Winery was established in the 1950’s by Guiseppe and Maria Sergi, newly arrived immigrants from Italy. Since then, they have enjoyed considerable success as pioneer winemakers in the region and have achieved outstanding success both in the Australian and international wine market. With more than 1000 hectares under vine, and a crush capacity of 40,000 tonnes, the estate is one of New South Wales’ most formidable wine producers.

Emu Rise wines are made using familiar grape combinations, designed to reflect the hallmark of all Australian wines: quality, consistency and value for money. Sealed with screwcap closures for ease, this range is bound to become a huge hit!
