Sangiovese 2009 – Crisol, Mendoza, Argentina

Forget Italian Chianti and try this! Cherry and cedar aromas are complemented by gorgeous ripe, sweet berry fruits mingled with chocolate, with a seductive richness and velvety texture.

We were intrigued with the range of Crisol wines from Mendoza for its unusual array of grape varieties which have been successfully grown outside their original homes in Italy (Sangiovese), Rhone Valley, France (Viognier) as well as wines made from Argentina’s home grown varieties such as Bonarda.

This is a must have range for anyone who is tiring of too many Chardonnay’s or too many Cabernet Sauvignon’s on their list, and who is looking for something really different at exceptional value for money.
