Organic Chardonnay 2007/08 - Badger Mountain, Columbia Valley, Washington State

Washington State White Organic Chardonnay 2007/08 - Badger Mountain, Columbia Valley, Washington State

Pretty Asian pear and Granny Smith apple fruit aromas and a hint of mineral compliment an intriguing floral character.

The crisp, balanced mouth feel is filled with flavours of Granny Smith apple, green pear, baking spices, and an elusive mineral quality characteristic of the white wines from this vineyard.

The surprisingly long finish of apple, pears, and sweet oak is enhanced by the typical crisp acidity found in Washington State Chardonnay

Father and son, Bill and Greg Powers established Badger Moutain Vineyard in 1982.
Badger Mountain vineyards have exceptional capacity for quality wines. Based on the south facing slopes of Badger Mountain, in the finest viticultural area in Washington State, Columbia Valley, the 80-acre vineyard also has a unique microclimate and soil that is ideal for the production of organic wines.

It was not until 1988 that the potential for producing some of the best Organic Wine in the World was realised and the vineyard moved to 100% organic viticulture. To this day, Badger Mountain does not use chemical herbicides, insecticides or other non-organic substances and some wines in the range are bottled using only naturally occurring sulphites.
