Mumfords Medium Dry 2010 - Mumfords Vineyard, Bath, England

A medium-dry white wine, blended from two grape varieties, with good body and a flowery and fruity bouquet.

Mumfords Vineyard is two miles east of Bath in a beautiful setting overlooking the Avon Valley.

‘Mumfords’ was its old field-name, recorded in ancient tithe maps and thought to be derived from ‘Montfort’. Simon de Montfort owned land in the parish in 1250AD.

The Mumfords Vineyard wine label has a Roman theme. Near the vineyard are two Roman roads to Bath. Also, a Roman coin was found beneath a vine.
