Magenta Brut N.V. Epernay, Champagne
The nose is fresh, fruity and sweet with notes of plum and raspberry jam with hints of dried flowers, warm brioche and honey. It is fresh and soft on the palate with fruity raspberry and strawberry flavours and a hint of brioche. The wine has a lemony finish.
From a traditional Champagne house, yet with real pedigree. This wine was in the top 3 of Which Magazine’s top 30 Champagnes!
Thierry Lombard’s business is champagne. The family-owned business was established in 1925 in the village of Magenta near Epernay, the heart of the Champagne region.
Representing the third generation of his family in the champagne business, Thierry acquired the Epernay-based company Charles de Cazanove in 1984 whereupon he began the creation of Magenta, a high quality brand named in honour of the village where his family established their first champagne cellars.
The range of Magenta champagnes are kept in the cool temperatures of the traditional underground cellars in Epernay, where the bottles quietly age and develop.
The Brut Non Vintage has a minimum of 4 years age and is made from a blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier. The resultant wine is irresistible.
