Cabernet Sauvignon - Edmond Bernard, Vin de Pays d'Oc, France

A big fruity palate balanced by the soft tannin finish, to produce a full bodied red with a slightly peppery taste.

This excellent range of Vin de Pays wines has been exclusively created for us. We have aimed for styles of wines that are modern, fresh, fruity and easy to drink, yet which are still able to reflect the essential character of the countryside and terroir of the South West of France.

The Edmond Bernard wines are chosen from selected vineyards in the Languedoc region of South West France.

The white wines are picked from vineyards high in the cool hills surrounding the town of Limoux to the west of Carcassonne, where the long cool growing season enhances the aroma and freshness of the Sauvignon and Chardonnay grapes. In contrast, the Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon area are grown on the plain of the Minervois, where the sun ripens the grapes to full maturity giving the wines plenty of fruit and spice flavours.
