Cabernet Sauvignon 2010/11 - El Otro, Central Valley, Chile

Deep, brilliant red, with violet tints. Mature cassis and vanilla aromas, with a medium bodied palate that is enhanced with fine, sweet, tannins. The wine has an elegant balance of fruit, tannin and acidity with a pleasuring length to the finish.

The winery dates back to the early 19th century when Carlos Adolfo del Pedregal left his home in Asturias, Spain and settled in the heart of the Loncomilla Valley. With a forward-thinking vision and attracted by the quality of this terroir, Carlos Adolfo planted his first vineyards in 1825. After 180 years and seven generations in the hands of the del Pedregal family, the winery has proactively adapted to market trends bringing the very best of pure sun-drenched fruit flavours to its generously flavoured wines.

Winemaker Pascal Marty has had considerable international winemaking experience, including a position as Head Oenologist in the R&D department at Baron Philippe de Rothschild S.A. For our exclusive El Otro range, he has developed a portfolio that is characterized by young light and aromatic wines, where the absence of wood allows the fresh and expressive varieties from the Loncomilla Valley to emerge.
