Airen – Viña Pena, Castilla, Spain

Airen is the most widely grown grape variety in Spain. A light and refreshing dry white wine with hints of lemony fruit.

Vino de la Tierra is Spain’s equivalent to France’s Vin de Pays (country wines).

This selection of great house wines originates from the Northern area of Castilla Y Leon, Spain’s harsh, high plateau with long cold winters and hot summers (but always cool nights). The Duero river tempers this climate and affords fine conditions for viticulture. The three ranges are made from ‘noble’ grape varieties such as Chardonnay and Cabernet, as well as original Spanish varieties such as Viura (white) and Tempranillo (red).

Vina Pena is our latest addition to the range and offers exceptional value for money with a red, white and rosé that are flavoursome, easy-drinking.
