French Wines

French Wine Online!

Whatever anyone says, France is by far and away the premier wine producing country in the world. The French easily have the greatest wealth of famous wine regions, wine appellations, varieties and wine heritage.

French wines have been produced for the best part of 2000 years, many wine merchants source a range of French wine, but Heritage Wine have search and tasted wines from the most famous French wine regions, such as Burgundy, Bordeaux, Champagne and the Loire but we also look for and try to offer a range of the great value sparkling wines and Vins-de-Pays.

There is a myriad of choices and subtleties when it comes to the different levels of quality and price within French wine, so being the good wine merchant that we are, Heritage Wine has done as much of the hard work as possible seeking out French wines with great quality but good value for money.

The French wine world is always on the move, so we also keep an eye out for new and interesting French wines, such as the Guillaume Aurelle range from the Vin de Pays. Vin de Pays d’Oc wines are regional ‘Vin de Pays’ from the Languedoc, Southern France. Languedoc is a prime source for varietal wines such as the Chardonnay Wine, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot Wine and Syrah, all of which can be found within the Guillaume Aurele range. Great care and attention from vine to bottling is carried our throughout the wine making process, to produce wines that express its own unique character.

Burgundy wine is made from the Burgundy region in Eastern France. The most famous wines produced here are red wines made from the Pinot Noir grapes or white wines made from Chardonnay. Our favourite Burgundy wine is the Pinot Noir 2005 – Thomas Bassot. Founded in 1850, Augusta Thomas and his wife Zoe Bassot, become well known and respected around the world and have been counted as one of the most influential houses from the end of XIXth century Burgundy. We are delighted not only to be working exclusively with the house, introducing a portfolio and affordable range of the most popular Burgundy appellation.

As Burgundy wine is extremely popular, the Heritage Wine team have been searching for new vineyards to supply wines exclusively to us at affordable prices with the highest quality. We are proud to announce a range from Château Corton André, ranging from the Bourgogne Aligote, to the Côte du Beaune this range is worth taking a look at. But just don’t stop there, the new Chablis range from Pascal Bouchard vineyard carries a high standard and passion, as care and attention from vine to bottling is taken with each wine.

But lets not stop with Burgundy; we are also launching a new range of Bordeaux wines. To celebrate the additions to our range, we are offering a promotion on selected Bordeaux wines. Be sure to check regularly to see what fantastic wine you will find at the lowest price.

What wine merchants would be complete without supplying sparkling wine and Champagne? The champagne wine region is a historic province located northeast of France. It is best known for the production of the sparkling white wine, such as our favourite, Cremant de Bourgogne NV – Paul Robin, Burgundy. Wine merchants everywhere will also be supplying your favourite champagnes, such as Perrier Jouet Brut NV and Mumm Cordon Rouge NV. We’ve worked hard to make sure our champagne selection is affordable and competitive, maybe even cheaper then your local supermarket!

Be sure to look through our French wine selection to find more fantastic wines from regions such as Loire, Rhône and Alsace. We are positive you will find one to suit your pallet and budget!
